Provide decent, affordable housing for low-to-moderate income persons in cooperation with residents, the business community, local government, and other interested persons in order to strengthen neighborhoods and prevent deterioration by stabilizing and improving property values.
Lafayette NHS has been able to achieve its goals through creative implementation of programs which are designed to revitalize older neighborhoods, promote home ownership for low to moderate income households, preserve affordable housing thereby stabilizing lives as well as the neighborhoods.
By strengthening its partnership with city government, local lenders and business, and residents of the community, the organization has effectively used public and private funding to improve the quality of lives for many persons in the Greater Lafayette area.
Lafayette Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. has shown the ability to change with the needs of the community, while not losing sight of its mission, neighborhood revitalization. This is demonstrated through the variety and the ingenuity of the projects undertaken in the past and present.
