Neighborhood revitalization is not only concerned with housing, but also with the people that reside within the neighborhoods. All of our programs focus on improving the neighborhoods of Greater Lafayette. We also work directly with the people that live within the neighborhoods and believe that positive changes are, and will continue to be made. Neighborhood groups have sought our services for a wide variety of issues and challenges.
Technically, we act as a support system for the neighborhoods. We also work to provide research assistance, bulk mailing, production of fliers and mailers, press releases, and advice on issues. Also, our office is home to a computer and printer that is devoted solely for neighborhood association use.
Our neighborhood coordinator works closely with associations to provide them the assistance with ideas and acts as a liaison between the neighbors and LNHS making sure our programs are in tune with what neighbors would like to see. Most recently, we have work directly with three neighborhoods to help them design neighborhood plans that spell out the outcomes they would like to see in their neighborhoods.
