Homestead Consulting Services is a non-profit HUD-certified housing counseling agency offering education and consulting assistance to all homeowners and potential homeowners regardless of income. Such assistance may include down payment and home improvement grants. In 2010 we counseled 800 families on foreclosure issues. We also helped over 100 families in pre- and post-purchase consulting.

New Program to Help Unemployed Homeowners
Under Indiana’s Hardest Hit Fund Unemployment Bridge Program, the Indiana Foreclosure Prevention network is offering individuals who are unemployed, through no fault of the own, assistance in paying their mortgage and related expenses while the individual seeks new employment. The program will cover a portion of principal, interest, taxes and insurance (PITI) for eligible unemployed homeowners while they are seeking re-employment or utilizing training through the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
